The D1 EPB pipe jacking machine can be used in wide and all-range soil conditions, with either soft or hard soil.The covered depth of the pipe is minimally 1.5X the pipe diameter, while the pipe diameter is generally between 1500 to 4000mm. With shield outside lubrication, soil paste in the excavation chamber could have the equal support pressure to the surrounding soil and groundwater, so as to achieve an improved balance.  With the aforesaid Soil Improvement, the risk of heave or settlement at the surface when advancing can be minimized.
